7 février 24 avril 18 juillet 14 août 2018 BoomBoost: 🔥[US/EU]Selfplay/Piloted arena boost 2000/2200/2400+ today! New Summoning Stone & Soulwell Models in Battle for Azeroth Beta Chat and Interface iOS Destruction PvP 5h Giving Back - In-Game Help for New Players List was last pruned of inactivity on 4/12/2016. You can check this post to see how I determined inactivity: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/981608215?page=42#831 It's never too late to volunteer! I'm always adding people to the list. Also, despite the name, these mentors are also available to returning players who need help, too! Disclaimer: This is NOT a place to populate your friend list in-game. These are mentors here to help. These players are also NOT chosen by Blizzard (though a few of them may be MVPs that have volunteered!). They are simply other posters who are willing to be helpful! -- Originally started by Hektikk of the Trollbane server, on the old forums. Now created here and maintained by me. Help on the forums is good, but sometimes as a new player, you need help in-game with your various questions. And that's where this thread comes in! It's a list of volunteers--players just like you or me--who are willing to become mentors to new players. They'll get you started if you're brand-new, and answer questions as you are learning your way through the game. You may even make new friends! Before you choose a potential mentor, read on for some helpful hints about how to make your experience a successful one! -- NEW PLAYERS: IMPORTANT: DO NOT post in this thread asking people to come to your server to help, or to ask a question about the game. The point of this thread is to provide you with a resource so that YOU can seek out the help you need in-game, not for people to search for you. For questions, just make a new thread and ask the regulars here on the forums. - To use this thread, check if someone from your faction/server is on the list already, or decide where you'd like to play on based on available volunteers. Next, add the volunteer to your friends list. Then, you can see when they get online and whisper them! You can also mail them via the mailbox, or check the Google lists (links in post #2) for any of that player's alts. If a mentor has a BattleTag listed, you can use that to talk to them no matter what server/faction you're on. However, they will have to accept your friend request first. - Keep in mind that players on Oceanic servers can ONLY see players from other Oceanic servers in the game world. If you wish to be on an Oceanic server, it is highly recommended you seek help from mentors also on Oceanic servers. - NOTE: Due to restrictions, Starter Accounts cannot mail anyone, whisper other players, or use BattleTag/RealID messaging. If another player whispers you first, or you both add one another to your friend list, you may whisper them. - Be sure to identify yourself when you contact someone. Mention this thread. Some players might ignore you otherwise. Also keep in mind that a player might be busy, so they might miss your whisper the first time around. Don't spam or harass them. - Don't beg or act entitled to bags, gold, dungeon runs, guild invites, etc. No one on this list is obligated to give you items or do you favors. - If someone is rude or very unhelpful, please ignore them, then consider messaging me in-game or on Twitter (@LadyLatias) to let me know (please don't call them out on the forums). Conversely, if you had a great experience with someone, let me know that too! - If any of the characters on this list seem to not exist/be active anymore, please make a post here saying so and I will remove them. -- VOLUNTEERS: - Be patient and treat the newbies well. No one wants to roll on your server, have you talk to them for a few days, and then have you get bored with them and ignore them. If you don't have patience for teaching, don't volunteer. - You are welcome to submit your BattleTag, but only do so if you're willing to have strangers talk to you at any time. Also note that people who friend request you can NO LONGER include a note to identify themselves. Please remove and/or report BT friends if they are being rude or harassing you. - If you want to be a volunteer, please post a maximum of five characters per faction per server. Alts are no longer listed here, but they will be added to the Google lists. - Please do not submit characters that are under level 10, bank alts, or otherwise not played frequently. - If you no longer want to be a mentor, or are going to quit the game, please post to have your name removed from the list. If you plan on doing a change to a character on this list (server transfers, name/faction change, etc.), please let me know that too! -- If you want to be a volunteer, just post here with your character(s), faction, and server, and I'll add your name to the list. I will also list Battletags if you wish (not required). Welcome to WoW! Happy questing!Cerylia1028 5h ONE YEAR REGISTERED PlayStation 4 Very interesting how he mentions that irregardless of the fact that his guides are selling more than yours are, you owe him. 5.x – Mists of Pandaria 06-08-2016, 12:24 PM Inside the World Championship WoWInterface World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Preview battle of azeroth guide zygor guides world of warcraft guide

Jun 25 [Guide] How to Heal Without Addons I've seen a couple different posts with people asking how to heal without addons or if it was good lately, so I figured I'd throw this together to help. I've healed without addons since they introduced the new raid frames in Cata, and in my years of heroic/now mythic raiding I've never encountered any issues that a simple reloadui couldn't fix (and that bug got fixed in Legion*). There are two important things to set up when healing. 1) Raid Frames! The default raid frames show all the info you need, but there's a few boxes to check to make them more readable. You can customize them in many ways, but here: https://i.imgur.com/vKXUq3p.png?1 is the settings I use to make my raid frames look like this: https://i.imgur.com/Bx84DTi.png The most important one to check is keep groups together, followed closely by display class colors. There's no more group based heals to my knowledge, so that one might have dropped in priority, but it's still very useful information to have at a glance. Displaying class colors is important when picking who to heal. If a rogue/warlock/shaman are all low, you're gonna (should) heal the shaman first. Dispellable debuffs in the raid frames will place a small icon in the top right (emphasis on dispellable, non-dispellable debuffs will not show the icon, such as bleeds). Each icon represents a different dispel school with magic as a blue swirly that every heal spec can dispel, and curses/poisons/diseases having different icons that only certain healers can get. In general, if that icon pops up, dispel. Make it a habit to dispel early and often, and you will save yourself a lot of mana from healing things you didn't have to (except in PvP, lots of dispel protection there, it's rare in PvE). 2) Mouseover Macros! The most important macro you need will look like this: #showtooltip /cast [@mouseover,help][] Chain Heal This macro will cast the spell at your mouseover target, if your mouseover is not valid or you have none, it will will then normally cast the heal. A normal cast, with auto self heal enabled, will attempt to cast at your target first, then at yourself. This enables you to cast all of your heal directly at your mouseover with no delay. It also enables you to select a target and not be required to switch to heal other people. For example, this enables you to keep the tank as your target while you mouseover heal the raid, and then just cast normally to heal the tank on demand or while using your mouse to turn. Beyond that, you can do a lot more things with macros! https://wow.gamepedia.com/Making_a_macro Above is the guide I usually reference when putting macros together. I'll list a few other macros I use to heal with below. If you have any questions about macros or can't get one to work, ask away! #showtooltip /cast [mod:ctrl, @player][] Healing Rain This macro will cast Healing Rain at your feet if you hold control, or give you the ground targeting reticle like normal with no mod held. This saves you a bit of time when you're standing in the location you want the spell, especially if it's a frequent cast like Healing Rain. You can also use this for any ground targeted ability. I first started using this macro for Death and Decay on my DK before I made a shaman version. #showtooltip /cast [@targettarget,harm][harm][]Smite This macro will cast a damage ability at the target of your target, then your target. This is very useful when doing damage as a healer, as you don't have to swap target to heal. I use a few of these on my Disc priest to make it a very smooth experience, and even made them for my shaman and druid since doing damage as a healer is important in M+. I'm not sure if this is the most efficient way to write this one, but I haven't had issues with it yet. If someone has a better version, lemme know! That's all I can think of for now. I hope this helps. Happy healing :) P.S. - The #showtooltip line can be removed if you like, it's purely there to show more information when you mouseover the spell and has no impact on functionality. I like being able to mouse over my spells after they've been added as macros to see the tooltip for their throughput/CD. Also, just replace Chain Heal with whatever other spell you like, if that wasn't obvious. It's a tad tedious to set up on new characters, but once it's done you never have to do it again because it's very easy to copy your macro cache from one PC to the next (or over to the beta install which I did recently). *The bug mentioned was relatively minor than could causes your raid frames to display people in the wrong slots if someone left group during combat. Not a frequent issue and reloading fixed it.Stormaker2 Jun 25 08/31/2018 Class guides With rest XP, recruit-a-friend, and heirloom gear you will level out of any particular area quickly.
