BESbswyBESbswyBESbswy Jun 23 Help choosing a new main *My class section covers most of the questions alone so due to limited space I erased redundant questions* How far did you level it? I've had everything at max EXCEPT: Pally (level 100 boost, didn't actually play her) Warrior (Havent leveled past 60 in years) Warlock (level 60 but it's been years) Death Night (made it out of starting zone several times, never more.) Describe what you liked and disliked about those classes. Be detailed! Mage: Magic is cool, I like blue, mage was my first main, so my character has sentimental value to me, all specs are interesting and class lore is a major bonus, which mages have a great deal of, teleports are cool and being a glass cannon is fun. Paladin: Haven't actually played enough. I enjoy the light and sparkly abilities. Again, heavy on class lore which is cool. I dislike how slow all the specs felt when I tried my level 100 on training dummies. Hunter: Physical ranged and collecting pets gives me an extra thing to do in the world. I like bows and the lone wolf feel is great Rogue: The feel of the class. I boosted a 110, I LOVE stealth and being able to pick my fights. I played outlaw and it was so much fun. I love being a scout and the whole secretive nature of the class, but everything else about it felt a little boring to me. I'm not a huge fan of pures. Priest: I love priest. I enjoy the light, I enjoy cloth. I enjoy healing. HOWEVER I mainly solo play so dps specs are important to me. Priest only gives me one option, but I do absolutely adore shadow. Shadow is probably my favorite spec in the game, with the exception of its survivability. I play solo, I don't really raid or do any progression and I never choose a class based off how "good" it is or whatever but shadow seems outright horrible for solo play, so much that it's a breaking point for me. I don't like questing in healing specs. It's just a weird thing for me. Death Knight: Never got far past the starting zone. I don't really like dark "evil" classes though. I do like that death knights don't NECESSARILY fit that, but the class vibe and quests seems to really push for it. I really don't know how to feel about them. Shaman: I love shaman. All the specs. I'm leveling this girl to be my new main, but for some reason I'm just getting bored of it. I love the spells, the lore, the colors, the totems, the everything. But I keep getting that "grass is greener" feeling towards other classes. Monk: I LOVE the aesthetics of monks. I love the lore of monks. I love the whole "peace and balance" thing theyve got going on. I love the design more than I love shamans. The only thing that kills it for me is that I find WW super boring and having a good dps spec is HUGE for me. BUT I don't have her at max yet. Shes like 106. I enjoy weapons and spellcasting, and monk has neither and those are pretty big trade offs. Id be willing to pick her back up again if you all feel that I should. Im seriously at a loss here. Druid: Youd think that with my extreme indecisiveness that this would be a no brainer. Resto is amazing, probably my favorite healing spec. But the rest..not so much. I'd rather play any other class tahn guardian, balance, or feral. Demon Hunter: My current main. I didn't mean to main her. They are easily the coolest looking class in the game and their mobility killed every other class for me a little. But I started legion late, my demon hunter was easy to progress on and havoc and vengeance are unkillable in solo content so I just kinda stuck with it until I unlocked pathfinder and all 4 allied races. The playstyle is fun, the lore is vast but the class doesn't really vibe with me, if that makes sense. -really not considering Warrior or Warlock With a friend or alone? What's your friend going to be leveling? Definitely alone. Are you leveling via PvE or PvP? Chain-running dungeons? Questing and exploring Race preference? Either for looks or the actual racials (or lore!). Alliance Human Night elf Draenei LF Draenei Void Elf Horde Orc Blood Elf Nightborne HM Tauren *I don't care about racials at all. Heals/tank/DPS? What's your style for DPS - melee or ranged? Mainly DPS. I'd like to have a solid healing spec. Having a tank spec to fall back on would be great. Any favorite game mechanics? (DoTs, HoTs, stealth, mana, etc) Rage and Runes don't appeal to me. Hybrid or pure? Hybrid preferably. Throw in any extra details here: MOBILITY IS HUGE FOR ME. I can't stand a slow class. I enjoy a class where I enjoy all the specs.Arteria2 Jun 23 PvP Guides Share World of Warcraft: Legion beginner's guide Copyright © 2018 vBulletin Solutions, Inc. All rights reserved. Server Datacentre Location - New York, Chicago, Phoenix, Los Angeles First and foremost: Limit your search to servers that are as close to you (physically) as possible. Closer servers will have better latency, and thus deliver a better play experience. WoWWiki has a great list by datacentre: http://www.wowwiki.com/US_realm_list_by_datacenter Realm Type - PvP, PvE, RP, RP-PvP Now that you know which servers to look at, the next most important question is if you want to play on a PvE, PvP, RP, or RP-PvP server. RP vs. non-RP servers should be a simple choice: when interacting with other players, do you want to act "in character" replying to other players like they're living inside the world of Azeroth, or would you rather just play WoW like any other video game treating everyone else like a player at a keyboard? If you want to play on an RP server with active RPers: "Wyrmrest Accord and Moon Guard are very popular, but Moon Guard is very over populated." -Nok PvE vs. PvP is a bit of a tougher decision. On a PvP server, once you get to about lvl 20, in just about every questing zone you go to you can be attacked at any time by any player of the opposite faction (Horde vs. Alliance). If you like the idea of jumping other players while they're running around killing mobs/questing, this may be for you. If you don't like the idea of a max lvl player killing you in 1 shot when they ride by, then you may want to stick to PvE servers. Some people feel that PvP servers have a slightly more mature community since most children and/or immature players can't stand being killed randomly. Other people feel that PvP servers have a less mature community since it's full of teenagers who like to grief other players while they're just trying to quest. YMMV. Realm population - New, Low, Medium, High, Full The next major consideration for choosing a realm is the realms' population, both the total number of players and the Alliance / Horde ratio. This is a bit more complicated, and there are different ways of looking at the data. First, WarcraftRealms.com has a tool for taking a "census" of various realms, but it relies on data uploads from players on the server. Its data is only as accurate as the data it receives from player uploads, but it gives a pretty good baseline idea: http://www.warcraftrealms.com/realmstats.php?sort=Total Another useful way to look at population data is in terms of server age. Older servers tend to have higher populations. WoWWiki has a list of all US realms' creation dates: http://www.wowwiki.com/Timeline_of_the_creation_of_US_realms So that's great, but what does it mean? How does population affect the game? Here are a few points to consider: Empty servers: By far the easiest way of ruining the MMO experience is to have nobody to play with. Avoid servers with very low population. Queues: Very high population realms often have queue times. This could mean waiting for half an hour every time you want to play during prime time. During prime time (weekday evenings and weekends), check the realm status page to see if the server is listed as full: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/realmstatus/ Economy: Higher population realms have more robust economies. This means the auction house will have many more items listed and will be much more competitive. 10/25 Man Raid PuGs: Higher population => more things happening => more groups going all the time. Pick up Groups will form more frequently and will fill faster, meaning you can play more and sit in town waiting for groups less. This also, however, means (on some servers) that PuGs can be more picky in who they take along since anyone can be replaced quickly. A/H ratio: Depending on how you like to play, you may want an even ratio so that everything that involves opposite faction interaction (like world PvP) are more fair, or you may want to be on the advantage side of an imbalanced ratio so that your side is usually winning. The only disadvantage with being on the plus side of a wildly imbalanced population is that soon, world PvP zones (i.e. Wintergrasp) will only allow the same number of players (beyond a minimum level of 20 players) from each faction in at the same time, so if nobody from the other side shows up, only 20 from your side can get in.Frejya116 Jul 25 TEKKEN Seraca Red Faction: Guerrilla Remastered Releases Soon; Watch Some Destructive Gameplay 41.15€ Please replace the old information with up to date information.
