You will need to cover very large areas in order to get a few chests as they are quite rare. Vanilla, TBC and WotLK zones work best. The way I like to do it is to park one Rogue class trial in Outland and one in Northrend, then fly over the whole continent and look for chests. One whole run might only yield 3-10 chests but you will still make a bunch of gold as you are almost guaranteed rares in chests in these zones.

Dugi’s leveling guide is the leveling addon I’ve always used to level as fast as possible. It will show you where to go and what to do in-game, speeding up the leveling process. This is optional though, as the game already does a pretty good job at showing you where to go at all times. The addon does, however, come with a couple of other nice features and perks.
If you bought Legion and have no desire to go through old content, good news! The new expansion comes with a free boost to level 100 for one character. You can buy these boosts from the in-game store whenever you want, but they normally cost $60, so savor this free one. Use it for a class that you are confident you will enjoy. As a fresh level 100 character, you will be able to immediately begin the quest that takes you the Broken Isles, the new region where Legion takes place.
While not as powerful as it was before 7.3, this transmog spot is a good area to amass a large number of BOE greens that generally fly around the 35 – 42 area.  It's popularity stemming from the amount of items that drop (and the potential value of those items) rather than the quality of each drop itself. Generally drops from these farms can take a while to sell even when using my TSM posting style.  However if your low on transmog stock this can be an awesome area to hit every now and then.
One thing to realize is that once you hit 15 you have a lot more options for speedy leveling. Right now (you seem to be level 9 at the time of this writing) you only have questing and grinding, which are inefficient. Once you get the ability to use the Random Dungeon Finder (often called LFD, Looking for Dungeon) you can queue for dungeons in between questing. Often one dungeon, up until 25 or so, will give you most of a whole level off the XP and quests within.
While this is more a method than a farm, I still thought it belonged in this video.  This method takes advantage of the long forgotten spell, void shatter.  Generally because of the logistics behind how easily obtainable void crystals are when compared to large prismatic shards, void crystals cost SUBSTANTIALLY less.  The void shatter spell however turns 1 void crystal into 2 large prismatic shards.  Globally large prismatic shards are worth 15g a piece, while void crystals trend around 2-4g a piece.  Can you do the math on that?  You can literally triple your investment cost by creating more prismatic shards for your market.  All it requires is for you to get honored with the shattered sun offensive, a little known fact that most enchanters are too lazy to take advantage of.  Nobody is doing this, and on most servers the market it ripe to take over.  Don't believe me?  Check it out yourself!
At the end of Legion, the titan Sargeras was imprisoned, but not before he plunged his sword into the planet Azeroth. This not only devastated a massive area (much of the desert zone of Silithus is now cracked and scorched), but badly wounded the gestating titan inside. While the heroes managed to ablate the worst of the damage (at the cost of the majority of their artifact weapons' mythic power), the world is still wounded and bleeding a substance called "Azerite," which has great magical potential. The Horde Warchief, Sylvanas Windrunner, attempts to consolidate Horde power on Kalimdor and gain a monopoly on Azerite (which is primarily found at the southern end of the continent). Her campaign to do so, the War of Thorns, formed a pre-launch event for the expansion and ends with the major Night Elf holdings on the continent seized or (in the case of their capital city of Darnassus) annihilated. The Alliance makes a retaliatory strike against her home base, the Undercity, which was formerly the human capital of Lordaeron. This succeeds in driving the Horde out, but before leaving Sylvanas saturates the area with disease and toxins that render it uninhabitable. With this tit-for-tat military exchange, the Horde has almost complete control over Kalimdor, while the Alliance has near-total dominion over the Eastern Kingdoms.[4] With further conflict inevitable, Battle for Azeroth takes the two factions to the continents of Kul Tiras and Zandalar to recruit new allies in order to turn the tides of war.[4]
Okay, speaking of pet farms this one is a really unique farm.  What we're looking for is the carrier cage : black tabby.  This is a very sought after pet for both horde and alliance – which is why its price competitively at 55,000g.  The farm takes place in Hillsbrad Foothills on a peninsula like piece of land just northwest of the yeti caves.  There will be dozens of stormpike engineers surrounding ballistas that only horde characters can kill.  However, that doesn't mean alliance polayers can't do this farm (im alliance myself).  All you need to do is to create a class trial (monk is the best) and send him over to the grinding spot.  Use the black ox statue to attract the mobs, and easily maul them down group by group.  If luck is on your side, you can make out with an awesome black tabby carrier.
And if you decide you need to go back to an early zone to get low level minerals or herbs? Instead of meekly wandering around ignoring you to gather in peace, now the local mobs are the same as you again and aggro on you. So you have to fight your way in and out. Same spell rotation, over and over and over. 31373433. 31373433. 31373433. 31373433. 31373433. 31373433. Every combat the same. Over and over again. Never ending. No change. Mind numbing. No challenge.
The waypoint directional system helps you to easily spot and reach a quest NPC or target. The step-by-step guidelines give you an idea of the materials you will at later stages. This minimises the time wasted while backtracking. Your quest progress and level will be updated automatically by the guide. This feature makes it easy to use any character. If you want to take a break or switch to battlegrounds or dungeons, you only need to re-tweak the guide to match your need at hand. Zygor Guides also come with flight path usage, turn in and quest accepting.
I'd say level this toon a bit more, maybe up to 30 or so, and see how you like the experience. If you find questing just a means to an end, maybe the guide would be a good buy. Me, I generally like questing and go to an area I'm interested in, even if it's not the most level-appropriate for me or the best way to maximize my time, so those guides aren't of much interest to me for now.
Mechagon and Nazjatar will both be endgame experiences that draw on the best elements of previous endgame grinds: the Timeless Isle, Argus, Tanaan Jungle, and the Broken Shore. Azshara’s domain of Nazjatar will be a little more typical, while Mechagon will be “what you might expect from a gnomish paradise,” says Hazzikostas. He describes it as more sandbox-y, unpredictable, and akin to a playground. Both zones will have flying enabled.

You’ll get a small window inside the game with instructions for what you need to do next, every step of the way to 120. You’ll also get a waypoint arrow that points you in the right direction to go at all times. If this sounds extremely convenient, you’re right! Zygor’s leveling guide/addon has completely taken the frustration out of leveling for me, personally. No more reading comments on WoWHead about how to complete quests. No more getting stuck, frustrated and bored with leveling. And no more feeling like WoW takes too much effort.
REDISCOVER AZEROTH AS NEW ALLIED RACES – Take a new form for your adventures as new playable Allied Races. Embark on a quest to earn the favor of the Lightforged draenei, Highmountain tauren, Nightborne, Void elves, Dark Iron dwarves, and Zandalari trolls to unlock each race and add their strength to your faction. Finding the best route for you can be a bit tricky because of the size of the dungeon. I will usually only do about half the dungeon, killing as many mobs as I can in 6 minutes. After 5 minutes, make a group in the group finder and leave it. That will leave you a minute to complete your 6 minutes and you will be ported out on the 6 minute mark, ready to reset and port right back in.

Although you usually don't want to buy items to sell from vendor, some items can be sold for much more than you pay for them from the vendor. There are a few reasons people will buy a vendor item for a higher cost at the AH. They vendor may be hard to get to, the recipe only sells in limited stock, or the buyer simply may not know where the item is from.
Incorporating an accelerated leveling pace is *definitely* something we want to incorporate in to the new addon My hope is to allow an option for you to set yourself to one or two higher speeds, where the guide will skip some steps along the way. The steps will have a special tag that lets the addon know to skip them if the person has that setting enabled.
Of course this is pure speculation, but who thought the token would be beneath 200.000 Gold again? But the only thing important for you is to calculate at what point you make profit by selling the tokens again. If you consider it, you should take the risk! Worst case scenario: You have a lot of battle.net balance to spend for Gametime, mounts, pets and boosts/services!
Materials ('mats') - items that get used in professions. This is driven more by use than by source; for example, copper is very easy to mine, but it is widely in demand, and you can often find bargains in copper, bargains you can profit from. Contrarily, some very scarce mats may have low demand, may only be used in one mediocre recipe, and may not sell.

The most simple thing is TradeSkillMaster. This AddOn shows you quite an amount of information in the items tooltip. In my opinion, DBRegionMarketAvg the best source. It tells me the price, an item was posted on all EU realms in the last 14 days. Why not DBMarket? DBMarket only shows you the items value from your server in the last 14 days. This value often gets manipulated. Some people start to post an item with a 500g value for 500.000 Gold on the auction house for several weaks. As a consequence, DBMarket is rising towards 500.000 Gold.  If you use DBMarket with 100% and post your item for 500.000 Gold, nobody will buy it.
One of the very cool things about Zygor’s Guide is that it’s automated. Not only do you not have to manually switch from game to guide, you won’t even have to click to the next quest. Complete a quest and the guide will automatically update to the next quest. The guide does it for you (usually, sometimes you’ll have to click to the next quest on your own.) It really is like having someone giving advice over your shoulder. Here’s the next quest, here’s what you need to get…
The Horde levels 50-60 guide has been rewritten and revamped.  My 1-60 Horde leveling guide is now completely updated for the 1.12 Drums of War patch.  As you can see it is about 15% larger than the 40-50 guide (single largest guide page yet).  There is also a lot of route changes.  I moved the entire Silithus section from level 55 to level 58, which allowed me to include a lot more quests for that zone.  There is also a lot of other improvement to the route, including adding a lot more quests into the guide, mostly from Moonglade, Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands.  This will make the final level 59 grind much shorter.
Still, it’s terrible to see the new expansion fail so spectacularly at iterating on Legion’s success. It’s hard to believe the two expansions came from the same company. Legion made you feel powerful and unique. Battle for Azeroth grinds at you by taking away as much as it gives. Sure, you can have a shiny toy. Sometimes. If you don’t get too carried away.
Be aware of the seasonality of items. Check what items are used in seasonal achievements, such as Delicious Chocolate Cake or Small Egg during Children's Week. When the Darkmoon Faire is in season, Darkmoon cards and decks (Furies, Elementals, Lunacy, etc.) tend to sell well, but prices also tend to get depressed. When the Faire leaves, prices return to normal, but sales volume decreases. The same is true of things like Snowman kits, Red Holiday wear, etc. Holding onto that Snowman kit for a few months, and then listing it in July, can net you a significant profit.
Heart of Azeroth:[5] Our world is direly wounded. Players will be summoned via Magni Bronzebeard to Azeroth herself. She will gift players with a medallion called the [Heart of Azeroth]. Her life essence seeps from the world in the form of  [Azerite]. When players wearing the medallion come in contact with azerite, this sought after resource becomes a source of power for selected pieces of armor, providing players a way to level them up. This feature replaces the artifact system of World of Warcraft: Legion. Currently the plan of development is to limit the upgrade system to 3 pieces of armor. Players will be able to choose the stats they want to better fit their play-style.
Warfronts are larger, 20-man challenges that take inspiration from the Warcraft strategy games. Players are deployed on the Warfront to collect resources, destroy enemy troops, construct buildings, and eventually launch an assault to take over the enemy base. These battles take 20 to 40 minutes to complete and, unlike Island Expeditions, don’t offer a PvP mode.
Excess Potion of Accelerated Learning: Acquired in your Garrison (part of the Warlords of Draenor expansion), this gives you a 20-percent bonus to experience from killing monsters and finishing quests. It lasts one hour, but you can buy it multiple times and use it back-to-back. Alliance players buy it from Sergeant Crowler, horde players buy it from Sergeant Grimjaw. Does not work above level 99.

Heirlooms: Heirlooms are the best source of bonus XP for leveling. All slots can be gotten pretty easily now, except the rings. The time you need to spend to get the rings if you haven’t gotten a level 3 shipyard in WoW is way too long, so getting the rings is generally not worth it. Having all your heirloom gear will boost XP by 55%. Generally, you want heirloom gear with crit on for leveling as you want to kill mobs in a few hits as possible
As late as possible. Early on, you’ll want to follow the missions in Battle for Azeroth right up until you get the option to send a follower on a two-hour long quest. As soon as you get there, stop doing the War Campaign missions. You can come back to them once you have reached something like 119 and a half and finish leveling with those if you want. If you don’t use these missions to cap off your leveling journey, then they’re the first thing you’ll want to do once you reach max level.
For items that you can gather directly, you have the choice of either going out to gather them yourself or to buy them from the AH. The former adds no cost to your item but requires time and effort, while the latter can be quick and hassle-free. Even should you choose to get the materials yourself, don't forget to add them to your cost — your labor and time should be compensated for, even if just a little.
Once your character makes it to Outland and beyond, cashflow frees up considerably. The quest rewards are much better than in Azeroth. In fact, a typical character will earn from 1000-1200 in quest rewards and vendor trash while leveling 60-70 in Outland, and perhaps 1400-1600 from 70-80 in Northrend. The tendency is, therefore, to spend more freely after one hits 60. However, it is important for players not to go crazy on their spending once they make it to Hellfire. One thing is, training costs, repair costs, and consumable costs are also higher. More important, there is a large purchase that you are going to want to make at some point after level 60, your first flying mount and skill. The "bird" costs 40, the skill will cost you far more. Not only that, but if you want to fly it in Northrend at level 70, you'll have to shell out another 400 for Cold Weather Flying. And for those characters who will be 'farming' herbs or ore in either Outland or Northrend, an elite flying mount is almost essential, as it helps you gather almost twice as fast. That's another 5000 you'll be looking at. Therefore, budgeting carefully during the 60-80 leveling process is essential to ensuring you have sufficient cash on hand for making those purchases. Saving your pennies early makes that bird appear that much sooner.

From the above review, a lot has been said about the Zygor Guide. Many gamers are impressed by its simplicity, versatility, user-friendliness, and automated approach. On the other hand, some players find the guide more suited for advanced players. Also, it does not cover dungeons and battlegrounds. In summary, although the guide is not perfect, its pros greatly outweigh the cons. Majority of the users have given a “thumb up” to the guide. This should probably clear any doubt concerning its effectiveness. However, you can always first test the trial guide. All-in-all, Zygor Guides will certainly make leveling easy and more convenient.

The neutral auction house can become one of your best friends. Other players are constantly checking both factions' auction houses to find an appropriate price for the good they demand. Often times, goods are cheaper on the alliance because they have more people, thus, the supply increases as demand decreases and price goes down. If you are horde, feel free to transfer gold to your alliance toon through the neutral auction house in order to buy them item and bring it back to the horde side where it is more expensive. The 15%, as of patch 3.3.3 (down from 30%) is well worth the extra 50% or more you can easily make on one item alone. Blizzard decreased the neutral cut for a reason to 15%, that reason is to get trade facilitated between the horde and alliance. Make sure you take advantage of this!
